Daughters of the West Returns for 2025
A free, empowering program designed to boost the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of women in Ballarat
Delivered by the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation (WBCF) in partnership with City of Ballarat, Daughters of the West invite's women aged 18+ to prioritise their health while building strong community connections. This free 10-week program combines personalised movement, expert guidance, and community support to help every participant thrive on their wellness journey.
Each week, participants come together in local groups for two hours of activities that include physical exercise tailored to all levels, health education, mental wellbeing sessions, cooking demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with others. Along the way, women benefit from the encouragement of health professionals, facilitators, and most importantly each other.
Daughters of the West empowers women not only by providing the tools and knowledge to care for their health but also by connecting them with local resources and networks to sustain their wellbeing long-term.
“We understand that starting a new health journey can feel overwhelming,” said Leyla Asadi, Program Manager at the WBCF.
“Daughters of the West meets women where they are – whether they want to begin moving more, learn new skills, or simply find a community that supports their goals. Through expert advice and a welcoming environment, we give participants the confidence and connection they need to take control of their health, one step at a time.”
