Nude Food Recording

There will be a new system to record Nude Food on Tuesday’s. Each class will be given a Nude Food poster. Teachers will take a count and record the number of students who have brought Nude Food to school.  The Grade 6 Sustainability Team will then record each class count without interrupting learning time. The class with the highest percentage will be the winner. The winning class will still be announced; however this will be during Wednesday morning announcements.

STEM Question of the Week

Well done to everyone who entered last week’s STEM Question of the week.

This week’s question is:

What is the largest land animal?

Please give your answer to Miss Middlin in the STEM room. Good Luck!

Engineering Workshop – Grades 3 and 4

Yesterday, our Grade 3 and 4 students took part in a hands-on engineering workshop run by visiting students from Melbourne University.

The focus was on sustainable and suitable housing for areas with very high rainfall. Students designed and tested mini floating homes, learning about the challenges of building in extreme environments – and gaining insight into what engineers do!

It was a great opportunity for students to problem-solve, collaborate and get creative. We’re excited to welcome the team back again today for more sessions with other classes!
