VEGGIE PATCH CHALLENGE  -  READY SET GROW

Before Christine left to enjoy a well-earned holiday, she set us a challenge!

THE BEST VEGGIE PATCH CHALLENGE

The task set is very simple PLANT AND GROW A VEGETABLE. On her return she will judge each patch according to the BEST grown veggies.  The group that wins the challenge will receive a prize.

Christine said she wants to see growth and the best garden will receive a special prize.

Ready Set Grow!!!!!!!!

This week we had some groups out in the garden starting to plant.  By the end of Monday next week our garden beds should be full of veggie plants and seeds growing and hopefully thriving.  Below is a table of each space and what they will be planting and nurturing over the next couple of weeks ready for Christine’s return to judge THE BEST VEGGIE PATCH.

Good Luck to everyone and we can’t wait to see growth in our garden.

A BIG THANK YOU to the parents who prepared and topped the garden beds with new soil ready for planting during out first school working bee.

Please Note:  School Closure Day

Friday 25th July will be a school closure date as we have a staff professional Learning day.

On Friday 25th July the staff will be working with Glen Purcell on classroom organisation and management for optimum results. Glen is well regarded and has been sharing his ideas with teachers for many years. He is a published author. We are looking forward to this day.

Prep Enrolments are near capacity for 2026!

If you know someone thinking about their child starting at our wonderful school, they need to act fast. Book a tour, complete an application online and attend an interview to secure a place at St Francis de Sales for 2026. Delay and you will MISS out and will need to go on a waiting list. Spread the word so friends and families are aware that places are now limited for 2026.
