Athletics Carnival
Under glorious skies, our Cranbourne Campus Athletics Carnival unfolded with record-breaking student attendance and an electric atmosphere that pulsed throughout the day.
From the very start, MacKillop set the bar high with a loud and perfectly choreographed opening cheer, making it clear they were the team to beat. The day was filled with excitement as students sprinted, leapt, and hurled their way toward sporting glory.
A standout feature of this year’s carnival was the enthusiasm of our Year 12 students, many of whom embraced the spirit of their final St Peter’s College carnival by dressing up in vibrant, creative outfits. Judging “Best Dressed” proved no easy task for Mrs Hemming and Mr Bardi, given the impressive efforts on display.
More importantly, the Year 12 cohort led by example, participating wholeheartedly in events and motivating younger students to do the same for their Houses.
The energy was amplified by a live DJ keeping the vibe upbeat, and the carnival concluded in classic fashion with the ever-popular relay races, always a crowd favourite.

100 Days celebration
In 2023, our then-College Captain, Bonnie Cortese, envisioned a special celebration marking the 100th day of Year 12 — a tradition inspired by the "100 days of school" often observed in primary education. Her idea was to create a shared moment that acknowledged both our Year 7 students, who were 100 days into their journey at St Peter's, and our Year 12s, who were 100 days into their final year.
In 2024, we celebrated this milestone with a sausage sizzle. This year, however, our College Captains, Stella and James, wanted to take things a step further. They led a project to create 400 sugar cookies in the College colours, each stamped with a special message to commemorate the 100-day celebration.
Supported by Ms Cath King, Stella and James rallied a dedicated group of students who generously gave up their after-school hours to bake and decorate the cookies — all in the spirit of service and bringing joy to others.
The students who should be congratulated for this thoughtful initiative were Year 12 students: James Cortese, Stella Ploudias, Anthony Krotwaar, Clara Matters-Jara, Olo Sanerivi, Rhyanne Walton, Melanie Cochrane, James Dunn, Anthony Karaan, Gowri Handjo, Kiara Pollocks, and Dani Wignell.
