Tickets now available for St Peter’s College Musical Production of West Side Story.
St Peter’s College invites you to attend our 2025 college production of West Side Story.
Set in 1950s New York City, the story centres around two young and idealistic lovers, who believe they can be together, despite their own allegiances to different warring street gangs, the “American” Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice makes for one of the most innovative, heart-wrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time.
Conceived by Jerome Robbins with music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents, this production is not to be missed!

Year 12 Literature Excursion – NGV Melbourne
Our Year 12 Literature students recently enjoyed an enriching excursion to the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) in Melbourne. Accompanied by Ms Jo Lortan, Ms Caroline Angus and Ms Anouska Ozaki, the group explored how art conveys meaning beyond words—a powerful complement to their studies in literary analysis.
Students engaged deeply with a range of artworks, including thought-provoking pieces by Aboriginal artists that tied beautifully into their current poetry unit. The excursion encouraged critical thinking, inference-making and interpretive skills, all essential tools in the study of Literature.
It was truly inspiring to see the students respond so thoughtfully and insightfully to the artwork. Their ability to draw connections between visual and written texts made this a valuable and memorable educational experience.
Kind regards,
Ms Anouska Ozaki
Last week, 12 St. Peter’s College students competed in the Years 7-8 Just Dance and Years 9-12 Mario Kart FUSE Cup competitions. The Just Dance event was hosted by Haileybury College, Keysborough, while the Mario Kart tournament was held at Catholic Regional College, Keilor North.
The FUSE Cup is a global esports competition for schools that provides students with a safe, inclusive, and structured environment to compete. Throughout the day, a key focus is placed on encouraging good sportsmanship and developing positive digital habits.
The atmosphere at the Mario Kart competition was electric. From the start of the day, the heats were filled with tough competition and camaraderie as a field of 28 competitors battled it out for the top spot. The field was particularly challenging, featuring several previous competitors, including a past national champion. During the competition, two St. Peter’s students made it to the semi-final with Kelvin K (9) being one of the final four. While our St. Peter’s students didn’t secure a the victory this time, a huge congratulations goes to Anthony K (12), who won the MVP award for demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship to everyone at the tournament!
The Just Dance competition was equally energetic, with students competing to see who had the best moves on the dance floor. The competition was just as fierce, with several past national competitors in attendance. Our team of four St. Peter’s students gave it their all, and while they didn't advance to the semi-finals, their enthusiasm was infectious. They represented the College with pride and fantastic spirit. Facing such a high level of talent was a valuable experience, and the team is already looking forward to their next chance to compete.
All our competitors represented St. Peter's with resilience, teamwork, and a positive attitude, perfectly embodying the spirit of the FUSE Cup. These events are a fantastic platform for students to build friendships, sharpen their strategic skills, and practice outstanding sportsmanship. Well done to everyone involved!
