RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY and RESILIENCE in the school yard

Our students are learning so many wonderful things inside the classroom. It is also great to see what they are doing in the school yard. Our three recess breaks are a fun time to 'hang out' with our friends and have a good laugh. Let's have a look at what is happening around our school yard during recess breaks and see who is really 'hanging' out.

The above photo of our two Year Two students from our last newsletter,  just fill my bucket and make me smile. I'm not wanting to remove them just yet!!!

HOOPTIME

Over this past week, I have been fortunate to be part of the coaching team for our Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 Hooptime teams. I know I am taking the glory away from Mr Scicluna's newsletter page, but have a look through these photos (some you will see again in the Health and PE page). What a great day of basketball and having fun. Both of my teams displayed great skills and continued to be respectful and resilient. Well done.

Message from Miss Humphries

What a term we have had! So many activities have taken place during the past 11 weeks, that I am 100% sure that all our students and teachers are going to have a well deserved two week winter break. Here's to warm hot chocolates around warm fires (and lots of sleep ins).

I hope you have all managed to spend some time celebrating the learning that has taken place by looking through your child's portfolio, reading through their school report and feeding information back to them regarding the parent teacher interviews.

Thank you to the support of all our parents during this term. Your children have been respectful and resilient learners.

Llew Humphries.

School Wide Positive Behaviour for Learning school leaders

Whole School Reward System

Have you seen our lyrebirds in the foyer? During the term, these lyrebirds will gain more and more feathers depending on how they are placed in the whole school house point reward system. The more feathers the more points your house has got during the term. Below is a photo of where the houses are placed. Well done Waratah, you are in front at the moment. We still have many weeks in the term to gain more points and more feathers.

Lets work together to get the birds growing.

House Leaders 2025

During assembly in week four (yesterday) we had our Wattle House Leaders - Isabelle and Matilda, present their first sports report and house points. Well done to both students who spoke clearly and confidently.

Well done to all students who have been working hard on getting house points. Well done to Mulga, it was great to see all the kids out in free dress on Friday 2nd May.
