Celebrating a Wonderful Term 3 at Kambala

What a remarkable Term 3 it has been at Kambala. As always, the weeks were filled with a rich blend of learning, joy, and countless events that truly showcase the spirit of our School: our passionate teachers, enthusiastic students, and supportive community we are so fortunate to have.

Having recently returned from my contracted Sabbatical Leave, during which I engaged in professional learning, reflection, and strategic thinking, I can’t help but feel both re-energised and deeply grateful for this wonderful community.

I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to Mr Stuart Coppin, who, as Acting Principal, led the school with great care and commitment in my absence.

This week also offers a moment of reflection and celebration as we prepare to bid farewell to the Class of 2025. The conclusion of their HSC and IB trials, marks the final chapter of their journey with us. As they now focus on their upcoming exams, we are confident they will approach them with the same perseverance and commitment they have demonstrated throughout their time at Kambala. We wish them every success in the weeks ahead and have no doubt they will make us—and, most importantly, themselves—proud.

The last few weeks have been a time to honour the Class of 2025 through various farewell events, culminating in the much-anticipated Year 12 Dinner this evening. For many in our community, it has been a privilege to witness the connection, tenacity, and future forward thinking of these young women over their years at Kambala. It is with great pride that we announce Claudia Chisholm as the 2025 Valedictorian. Among Claudia’s many commendable qualities are her embodiment of Kambala’s core values — Humanity, Courage, Curiosity, and Respect. She is a well-rounded achiever, demonstrating excellence across multiple disciplines. Congratulations, Claudia – and to all of our Year 12 girls, whose unique contributions have left an indelible mark on our School.

As we look back on this remarkable cohort of graduates, we are reminded of the lasting value of a girls’ education. These students represent the finest example of what a transformative learning experience can inspire. They leave us not only with strong academic foundations but as assured, perceptive individuals, prepared to influence the world around them. Their time at Kambala has been marked by the cultivation of analytical skills, initiative, and a genuine commitment to contributing meaningfully to society. These principles, so deeply embedded in our school culture, shine through each graduate. We are deeply grateful for the steadfast encouragement of our parent community, whose collaboration has been essential in fostering a space where these students have thrived. They step forward now as tomorrow’s pioneers, visionaries, and advocates for change.

As Term 3 draws to a close, the Kambala spirit continues to shine brightly. I would like to express my gratitude to every member of our community for their contribution to making our school the extraordinary place it is. I wish you all a restful and rejuvenating holiday break and look forward to welcoming you back in Term 4, ready to embrace all the opportunities and experiences that await us.
