Prep Cricket Clinic
A BIG thank you to Darren Cockroft from the Macleod Cricket Club for organising and running a free Cricket Blast clinic for our prep classes. The enthusiasm Darren brought to the clinic was infectious, and it's clear that his passion for cricket inspired our students.
The clinic provided a fantastic opportunity for the students to learn the basics of cricket in a fun and engaging environment. They thoroughly enjoyed the activities, and many are excited to explore cricket further.
Thank you once again, Darren, for your dedication and for making this experience enjoyable for our students! We look forward to more cricketing adventures in the future!
Chicken Update
Hi to the school community.
I have some more sad news to report. Unfortunately Blizzard died on the school holidays.
This is very sad news. Along with Shadow, she was much loved chicken and lots of the kids reported her as their favourite.
She was a beautiful chicken, and I chose her amongst a truck load, when the school purchased her. She was standing still and serene in amongst about 30 fidgeting chickens.
In her final days, she was looked after by a parent from the school who is also a vet but unfortunately, she passed away after just over a week.
We are all feeling sad about Blizzard and Shadow dying. If any children would like to talk to me about them, I will be in the school garden at 2 o’clock this Friday (tomorrow), to chat about the chickens.
Cheers Jackie.
Book Club - Issue 7
Magazines for Issue 7 of Book Club have been sent home.
Every purchase from the Scholastic Book Club not only gives your child wonderful educational resources at home, but also contributes to the school Library collection which benefits all of the school children.
There are 4 ways to order:
1. By credit card using LOOP, where you complete the book order and pay online – nothing needs to be sent back to school
2. Credit card over the phone, you still need to complete an order form & return it to school with the 11-digit receipt number
3. Cash (correct money) in an envelope with the completed order form
4. Cheque (made payable to Scholastic Australia) with the completed order form
Orders are due back to school by Friday 24 October, with delivery around one week later.
RPS 2025 Yearbook Cover Competition
This year, we are very excited to announce that our yearbook will be professionally printed by My YearBook! Over the past two years, we created and printed our own yearbooks in-house as we trialled the process. Now, with the experience we’ve gained, we’re ready to take the next step and have a professionally designed and bound yearbook to celebrate our amazing school community.
Selection Process
- The Junior School Council will carefully review all entries.
- The winning design will appear on the front cover.
- The runner-up design will be featured on the back cover.
Student Checklist
Before handing in your design, check that you have:
- Written “Rosanna Primary School 2025 Yearbook” on the front.
- Used pen or texta for all outlines (no grey lead).
- Put my name on the back of my page, not the front.
- Made my design bright, colourful and creative.
- Drawn it the right way up: portrait A4 (tall, not wide).
