Principal's Message

Welcome Back to Term 4!
Dear parents, carers, students and staff,
Welcome back to Term 4!
I hope the holiday break provided everyone with a chance to rest, recharge, and spend quality time with your family and friends. As we begin this final term of the year, there is a wonderful sense of energy and anticipation as we prepare to celebrate achievements, reflect on growth, and embrace new opportunities.
Term 4 is filled with rich learning experiences across all areas of school life. Students will engage in:
- Faith formation through our Synodal Gathering next Sunday, First Holy Communion, liturgies, Graduation and our End-of-Year Mass
- STEM and academic learning through classroom projects, assessments, and enrichment activities
- Sporting opportunities including Touch Football skills sessions and inter-school competitions and or Holy Family swimming carnival
- Creative arts through Musica Viva, the CSBB RE Creative Arts Showcase, and our combined Parish School Christmas Concert
- Leadership development with our 2026 Student Leadership program and speeches
We also look forward to welcoming our 2026 Kindergarten students and their families as they begin their transition into our school community. These mornings are a joyful reminder of the journey ahead and the strong partnerships we build with families from the very beginning.
Parent engagement continues to be a vital part of our school culture. This term includes opportunities for connection and learning, including our Resilience Workshop for families, the P&F Forum, and community events such as Trivia Night and the Colour Fun Run.
Let’s make Term 4 a truly memorable one — a time where we deepen our connections, celebrate our vibrant community, and continue to grow together in a wonderful learning environment.

Write On Competition 2025
A huge congratulations to Boris S. in Year 2, who won a Silver Award in the WriteOn Competition 2025. Boris attended the award ceremony at the NSW State Library with his parents and Mrs Dickinson on Monday. After the ceremony, students participated in a writing workshop while parents went on a tour of the library.
The annual WriteOn competition is for students in Years 1 to 6 who are accessing NSW syllabuses, including students registered for home schooling. Students create an imaginative text of up to 500 words, using a provided stimulus. The stimulus this year was the quote “Could they be Changing?”
Each year, winners are celebrated at an awards ceremony and their entries are published in ‘The Best of WriteOn' anthology. The 2025 version of the anthology is now available as a free download at this link –
The Best of WriteOn anthology 2025 - Boris’ story entitled “Phillip’s Fantastic Adventure” is on pages 47 and 48 of the anthology. There are many wonderful submissions in the book from students all over New South Wales. Boris and the school also received published copies of the Anthology.
Well done Boris – we are so very proud of you.
