Principal's Report

Mrs Larissa Vesdrevanis

As we near the end of the term, I would like to express my gratitude to our exceptional teachers and education support staff for their hard work. To all our students, we commend your efforts in adjusting to new grades, forming new friendships, and strengthening existing ones. It is wonderful to see your engagement with learning this term and always striving to achieve your personal best. Special recognition goes to our Year 3 and 5 students for having a growth mindset and striving for their personal best during Naplan Testing.

Congratulations to our Preps for successfully completing their first term as primary school students.

Farewell to Tunstall Kindergarten

Tunstall Kindergarten have moved to their beautiful new facility. It has been wonderful having the kinder onsite to build connections and support transition to school.  I know our 5/6 buddies will miss seeing their kinder buddies onsite daily however, they will now have the opportunity to visit their buddies in their new building to continue to foster this connection.

With the departure of the kinder we are thrilled to regain use of the GP Room.  Early in Term 2 the GP R will undergo a good clean and buffing of the floors ready to be used by the school.

Trialling of New Eating Times - Recess in Term 2

After some consultation with teachers, we would like to trial a new schedule where students eat their play lunch after recess and have an earlier fruit/ vegetable snack.  We believe that this arrangement will support student nutrition more evenly throughout the day.

10:00am- Fruit/Vegetable snack

10:35-11:05- Recess/ Outside Play

11:05-11:10- Eating snack/ playlunch

Your classroom teachers will provide you with further information via See Saw and Google Classroom in Term 2.

I would like to wish you all the best over the Easter Holiday weekend. Enjoy this very special time connecting with family and friends. Stay safe over the school holidays and we look forward to seeing you in Term 2.

Warmest regards,

Mrs Vesdrevanis
