STEM

It’s hard to believe we’re already finished iSTEM for the term. The students have come up with some amazing engineering builds, learnt about recording work on digital platforms, and learnt about basic computer programming with Sphero Bolts.

During Neurodiversity Week last week, we celebrated some wonderful neurodiverse minds in STEM. Jane Goodall (zoologist), Scott Kelly (astronaut), Maggie Aderin-Pocock (space scientist) and Albert Einstein (theoretical physicist) to name a few.

Term 2

For students in grades 3/4, they need to make sure they have the Make Wonder apps downloaded to their devices. This is Wonder, Go and Blockly.

For students in grades 5/6, they need to make sure they have the apps for working with Google Classroom. In particular Google Slides, as students will be using this weekly.

I’ve spoken to every class about this, and would appreciate you helping your children to come prepared for STEM at the beginning of the term.

Have a wonderful break, I can’t wait to start next terms hands on fun… I mean learning. 😉
