Library News
Our students love to read, and we aim to continually develop our reading culture. However, one challenge readers often face is, what to read next?
Each week in our library lessons we read, discuss and explore both new books, and classic literature. We have a great time talking about, and responding to the books we read, and the excitement is palpable when new books are added to the collection.
As another way of helping our students, families and staff to find new ways to read, I will be offering a reading challenge each fortnight. I look forward to sharing these challenges with our community of readers!
Challenge Number 3
We've read some fantastic stories that explore cultural diversity over the last few weeks, and we have so many more available in the library! Why not continue to explore and learn about the cultural backgrounds of people in our community?
The theme of this year's Harmony Week ties in well with my philosophy that Everyone Belongs in the Library, so why not share something about your own cultural background for our first issue of STAC for 2024?
And finally, congratulations to those students who have already completed the Premier's Reading Challenge! Keep up the reading everyone!
Yours in Love and Service,
