Introducing Blessing Meals Project

At St Anthony's, we're introducing a heartwarming initiative called Blessing Meals, and we invite parents to be a part of this meaningful endeavour. Blessing Meals are meals prepared by our community members and offered to those facing challenging times, whether it's due to bereavement, illness, the arrival of a new baby, job loss, or any other difficulty.

Meals provided will be discreetly distributed to families within our school community upon request, ensuring utmost confidentiality.

If you're able to participate, simply prepare a meal for a family of 4-6 people and bring it to the school office in an aluminium tray. Examples of suitable meals include lasagna, shepherd’s pie, pasta bake, chicken cacciatore, mild curries, chicken schnitzels and bolognese. We also welcome vegetarian and gluten-free options.

If you would like to be the recipient of this community support, please make your need discreetly known by contacting our school office.  We assure you that all requests will be handled with the upmost confidentiality.

We know that we are blessed with an incredibly generous community at St Anthony's and we hope that you will support this important initiative.

If you can help, please email info@staclovelly.catholic.edu.au and I will send home a foil tray with your child, to prepare a meal.

Can you help feed the homeless with me?

In alignment with our Catholic values of 'Love and Service', we extend an invitation to parents who are able to participate in preparing food for the night patrol vans at Vinnie's Soup Kitchen during term two. This opportunity will occur twice per term.

We'll travel to Vinnie's in Lewisham at 10:30 am, where we'll dedicate a couple of hours to making sandwiches and soup, ensuring they're packed and ready for the night patrol. We aim to return by 1 pm.

If you are interested in volunteering please send me an email at info@staclovelly.catholic.edu.au

Please note that you can volunteer as a one off or on an ongoing basis or just when you are available.

Are you Curious About the Catholic Faith?

In our vibrant school community, we recognise the importance of fostering open dialogue and embracing diversity of thought and belief. We understand that some of you may not be Catholic or have questions about the Catholic faith, and we want to extend an invitation to embark on a journey of exploration and understanding together.

If you find yourself wondering about, or even challenged by the teachings, traditions, or values of the Catholic Church, I invite you to reach out to me. As your Family Educator, I am here to provide a safe space for conversations, without judgement, to answer your questions, and to walk alongside you on your path of discovery - without expectations.

Whether you come from a different faith background, are searching for spiritual nourishment, or simply desire to learn more about the Catholic faith, I am here to listen, support and offer guidance.

No question is too big or too small, and every inquiry is welcomed.

Please don't hesitate to contact me via email and schedule a chat over coffee at your convenience: info@staclovelly.catholic.edu.au
