Student of the Week Awards

SPBL - Term 2

At St Anthony's, we focus on School Wide Positive Behaviours for Learning. Our school expectations are:

  • Be Safe
  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible

If all of our students follow our expectations then what a wonderful place St Anthony's will be! Students are rewarded when staff see them being respectful, responsible or safe and the student will receive a star stamp on their SPBL card in the classroom. Once the card is complete for each section of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Star, the student will then receive an award and trophy. The awards are:

Where in the World Years 2-6 Presentations

The children were very excited to present countries they had visited or would like to visit and know more about. On Monday, the parents were invited to see the childrens presentations and ask questions about the country they had presented. Here are some wonderful photos of the students enjoying their visitors.

It seems hard to believe that we have come to the end of the first term of St Anthony's Catholic Primary School. And what an eventful term it has been! In speaking to children, parents and teachers, I think the two-week break will be gratefully enjoyed as a time for some rest, some recreation and a more relaxed daily schedule. I pray that every family gets some quality holiday family time together. We look forward to welcoming the children back to school for Term 2 on Tuesday 30th April.

When I look back at the term calendar, it is easy to see why we all feel like we could use a break. In the past 10 weeks our wonderful school has been involved in: Parent Information Sessions, Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences, Opening School Mass, Ash Wednesday Mass, Celebrating Catholic Schools Week, Family Mass, Four Open Days, Harmony Day, Stage 2 Gala Day, Stage 3 Ranger Jamie Science Incursion, Sacrament of Reconciliation for Year 3 students, rehearsals for the SCS Eisteddfod, Assemblies, St Patricks Day, Mufti day for Assist Student Program, Cross Country Trials, Where in the World presentations, Stage 3: Public Speaking workshop, K-2 Shoelace incursion, Caritas Project, Parents and Friends meeting and the Easter Prayer Liturgy.

Thank you to the staff who have worked together this term to ensure the very best learning opportunities for our children within our Catholic community.

We thank you Lord, for this term.

For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt.

Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.

Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our faith.

Help us to be a practical Christian these holidays, to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others. To be peacemakers in our family.

Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun.

Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term.

We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents

And a community that cares for us.

May we always be conscious of you in our lives.

Amen

Yours in Love & Service
