Term 2 Week 1

Music Room Update

The Music Room has been bouncing and tapping away at full speed.

Prep students have been exploring beat and tempo using the giant stretchy elastic that has filled the room with smiles and giggles! Their highlight has been able to stretch and let go during the 'Lollipop' song.

Year 1 and 2 students have also enjoyed the stretchy elastic as part of their warm up to sessions before using drum sticks to play their 4/4 beats. We have been working as pairs/teams to get our timing right in preparation for our Kaboom Percussion drumstick routine and bucket drumming.

With Term Two is upon us already it means we are one term closer to our whole school concert - very exciting!! I will be putting the call out for some expertise in the next few weeks especially when it comes to costume making and videography!!

Looking forward to a fun-filled term again!
