While our leisure children’s’ program is child initiated based. Our staff help to extend their learning and curiosity by providing materials and equipment needed to extend their learning. We also like early childhood practice, understanding of social, emotional and physical and fine/gross motor skills.
We have loads of art & craft, board games, sports equipment and music dancing or quiz games. Our aim is to extend your children’s current interests while they make new friends at the same time.
All Senior Staff have First aide, level 2 or level 1 or CPR.
We are also trained annually in Mandatory reporting, OHS and conduct RISK assessments morning and afternoon before sessions.
Community and Environment
Other activities extend from learning about our community citizen science and environment through activities and play.
We also learn about different cultures, traditions and celebrations through cooking and the sharing of food with take home treats. We have at two fundraisers a year, where the children helps make treats to raise money for VACCA and the RSPCA, teaching them about , ‘Giving back to the community!’
2023 saw the start of our new ‘Environmental Action Group’, children and staff have been helping Lexi to move the sandpit to help combat erosion and make our OSHC entrance attractive and inviting once more. The children have been brainstorming ideas for the garden and with the help of some parents will devise a plan! We look forward to seeing what 2024 holds in store for our program!
