Term One  2024 has been a great term for activities. MEBS boarders participated extremely well in all games, events, and activities on offer.  The whole boarding house enjoyed the inaugural Boarders' Netball Tournament which proved to be a huge success.

Due to the hot weather, the pool was very popular but other activities including games, walking, shopping, gym, PCYC, and creative time were also fun things to do.

A highlight was the Heritage Walk that saw our Boarders visit the Mt. Erin Heritage Centre for a walk down memory lane, sit in the very first classroom that was created by the Presentation Sisters in the 1880s, and then enjoy a great BBQ followed by a swim in the pool. An excellent afternoon. The newly established Wellbeing room provides a space for Boarders to "hang out" and play foosball, and table games, inside ten-pin bowling, and reading.

PCYC

A group of intrepid Boarders brave the early mornings each Wednesday to be involved in activities off campus at the local PCYC which includes breakfast. The PCYC crew even picks the Boarders up and drops them to MEBS back or takes MDCC Boarders directly to their school. An excellent programme. Whilst waiting to be picked up at 6.30 am, a well-known puppy taking its parents for a walk, enjoys a mutual greeting from the Boarders.

We are looking forward to Term Two where Trivia night, the Touch Footy, and AFL Tournaments will take place along with a movie nights and laser tag.  I would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday and look forward to seeing you all in the next term.
