“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” – John Quincy Adams

On Tuesday 23rd of April our four school leaders were part of the Anzac Day ceremony at the 1000 steps in Upper Ferntree Gully. Participating with many other leaders and students from local schools, allowed our leaders to be part of a wider community event focused on remembrance and respect.
On the following day, Wednesday 24th April, our school leaders lead our school wide Anzac Day service, which was delivered over the school PA system. Speaking with respect and empathy for all the people who have served for Australia, our school leaders delivered a very moving ceremony focusing on our First Nations involvement in the armed forces and for clearly explaining this special event.
Attached below is the reading which was delivered. Please take time in reading through it and for acknowledging the perseverance and resilience our leaders showed when reading this out.
ANZAC DAY APPEAL

SWPBL Leaders - Finn, Jasper, Mikayla, Skylar
During Term Two, our SWPBL leaders, visited classrooms selling the Anzac day appeal lapel badges, bracelets, pens and more. It was great to see how these students courage built through visiting and talking to each group of students.
All badges were sold and the support for this appeal was taken on by many members of the community.
Thank you for supporting our community.

Term Two has started with a bang. Year Five/Six camp, Year Three - Six athletics day and Year Three - Six swimming have allowed so many students to experience a wide range of school events.
Students have been displaying dedication with getting back into the groove of their class routine and class expectations. It is pleasing to see so many students celebrating excellence in the work they complete.
Moving through the school environment, listening to students share their knowledge and communicating their thoughts brings me back to the reason I am a teacher.
To provide opportunities for our students to learn and grow, developing strength in so many different areas of our curriculum, is a very rewarding experience.
