Year Two students are working alongside the Year One students and are developing their knowledge and awareness of 'The Five Senses'. Through a series of Science based experiments, students will observe various materials being used that can cause a reaction.
They will make links between the equipment used, the process followed and the result, then link it to the Five Senses of sight, sound, smell, touch and taste.
Students will learn process language such as mixing, combining and estimating so that they can record observations and investigations in their Science Journals to demonstrate their understanding of the scientific inquiry process.
On Wednesday May 8th, students will be given the opportunity to visit the USPS Mother's Day Stall throughout the school day.
If students would like to purchase a gift for a special person in their life, we ask that they bring no more the $10 in total to school. Please ensure that your child's money is in a zip lock bag with their name clearly labelled on the front.
The zip lock bags will be collected at the beginning of the day and looked after by your child's classroom teacher until they attend the stall.
In the last sessions of the day on Friday May 10th, we invite mothers, grandmothers and other special women who are in the lives of our students into school for a Mother's Day Afternoon.
There will be an array of activities running throughout the session that you can participate in with your child!
We look forward to seeing you!
Thursday 9th May - 2:45pm

See you there!
Year Two Take Home Reading Diaries are checked on Monday each week.
Students will be given an opportunity to change their books for the week during this time. If students do not wish to use school books, they can read a text of their choice.
