Principal's Message

Mrs Kaileen Carr

Over the past couple of weeks there has been so many sporting opportunities for our students. Congratulations to the following students for representing our school at District and Western levels.

  • Darcy Williams - Western Cricket Trials
  • Phoebe Hemming and Oakley Sharman - District Netball Trials
  • Jimmy Osbourne, Harry Ford, Jax McDaid, Noah Riini, Ella Collett and Talisha Fuller - District Touch Football Trails.

On Tuesday, our girls and boys Touch Football teams played against Bathurst West PS at Cubis Park. The girls displayed great sportsmanship and fantastic skills, but unfortunately lost their match. The boys team won convincingly. It was a strong team effort and they will proceed to the next round of the competition. Thank you to Mr Wharton, Mr Cashen and Mr O'Brien for coaching and supporting our teams.

A big thankyou to Mrs Cluff for organising our Cross Country last week. Congratulations to all the students who participated and to those students who will now represent our school at the District Cross Country next term.

Athletics Carnival - You will all be receiving the Athletics Carnival notes today. These have been generated through a new school platform (School Bytes) which we are using for school activities, events and finance. You will be able to complete the permission notes online. This will mean you will not need to send  hard copy notes back to school. If you do not receive an email regarding the Athletics Carnival please contact the school office.

A huge thank you to Bathurst Toyota and Bathurst Volkswagen for their generous donation of a huge bag of sporting balls. We just cannot seem to keep up with the demand from students, who are keen to play basketball, footy and soccer in their play times, as well as having enough for classes to play netball, AFL, etc. in their sport time. This donation is truly appreciated by everyone in school.

P&C - Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the P&C AGM has been postponed. The new date for the AGM has been set for Tuesday 14th May at 6:30pm in the school library. All positions will be declared vacant. Please come along if you are interested in either taking up an executive position or would like to support our school.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very safe and relaxing holiday break.

Staff return to school for Term 2 on Monday 29th April for a Staff Development Day and students will return Tuesday 30th April.
