SCHOOL SPORT 2025

District and Western Sport Trials 

In 2025, Mrs Francis will coordinate all district and western trial information for PSSA Sporting teams.

Some trials at a school level will be held prior to the district trials. This depends on the sport and popularity of trials at the district level. 

When trialling for district and western teams, notes will go home with students from school and will need to be returned to school to Mrs Francis before the due date. 

Students cannot attend trials without this note being approved by the school and students names entered into trials by the school. 

Students can find out about upcoming school, district and western trials by listening to Sentral announcements in class, and parents can find out about trials by keeping up to date through the School Newsletter. 

School Athletics Carnival

Our School Athletics Carnival will be held on Monday 11th August at Morse Park. Children turning 8 -13 this year are eligible to compete. All children in Years 3-6 will attend this school activity. Information has been sent out through the Sentral parent portal. Please go on and give your child permission to attend.

School Sporting Teams and scheduled Training

Ten Pin Bowling

The Support unit children are currently trialling for the Ten Pin Bowling Team. This team will compete in the Regional ten pin bowling competition on Thursday 14th August. Ms Hall is the coach of the team.

The next training session will be held on Tuesday 29th July during Break 1. 

Girls Basketball

The girls basketball team have qualified to go through to the next round of the NSW PSSA Basketball Knockout. We will play Cooerwull Public School on Wednesday 30th July in Lithgow.

The next training session will be held on Tuesday 29th July during Break 2. Mrs Francis is the Basketball coach.

Boys Basketball

The boys basketball team have qualified to go through to the next round of the NSW PSSA Basketball Knockout. We will play Eglinton Public School in the next few weeks.

The next training session will be held on Wednesday 30th July during Break 1. Mr Datt is the Basketball coach.

Cricket Team

Our next game will be held on Friday 5th September against Orange Public School.  More information will be available soon. Mr Thackray is the coach of the Cricket Team.
