On Friday 8th August, Mr Aaron Violi - Member of Parliament for the Casey Division, visited our school to deliver our new school flags. They were presented to our four school leaders, Vyom, Isla, Jasper and Judd. A great experience for these students to have. These will be the flags you see flying high on our school flag poles.
Thanks to Mrs Oakley who organised this.
During Term Three we competed in the Division football competition. I was the coach for the girls AFL team and it was a pleasure to work with these girls during the day. They fought to the end, playing great football and having fun. Thank you to all the parents who came to support, goal umpired and kept score - I appreciate all your support.
Our students are learning so many wonderful things inside the classroom. It is also great to see what they are doing in the school yard. Our three recess breaks are a fun time to 'hang out' with our friends and have a good laugh. Let's have a look at what is happening around our school yard during recess breaks and see who is really 'hanging' out.
Welcome to Term Three, Week Four. What a fantastic start to the term, all our students have had. It feels like we hit the ground running with our Year Five/Six school camp. It was a pleasure to attend this camp and see your students transported back to life in the 1850s. They all participated to the best of their ability and by doing so learnt so much about what it was like to live on the Goldfields and be part of the living museum of Sovereign Hill.
In week two, I was part of the school group who attended the Division AFL competition. The group of 11 girls that I coached put in so much effort and learnt so much about the game of Australian Rules football, Another wonderful school event to be part of.
Thank you to all the parents who have supported their students to have a positive start the the term.
Llew Humphries.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri elders, past, present and emerging for sharing this land that we teach, connect and learn upon.
We continue to walk together to make a stronger future for this land we call home.
We greatly appreciate the elders for taking care of this amazing country.

Have you seen our lyrebirds in the foyer? During the term, these lyrebirds will gain more and more feathers depending on how each house is placed in the whole school house point reward system. The more feathers the more points your house has achieved during the term. Below is a photo of where the houses are placed. Well done Waratah, you are in front at the moment. We still have many weeks in the term to gain more points and more feathers.
Lets work together to get the birds growing.
During assembly in week four (yesterday) we had our Wattle House Leaders - Isabelle and Matilda, present their first sports report and house points. Well done to both students who spoke clearly and confidently.
Well done to all students who have been working hard on getting house points. Well done to Mulga, it was great to see all the kids out in free dress on Friday 2nd May.
