Term Three has begun! For those who joined us for the holiday program we had so much fun on all the adventures we experienced in just two weeks together! From rollerskating, ninja parks and inflatables worlds everyday, we went home tired and satisfied. We have come back to school to learn new things and reunite with our old friends we missed on the holidays. This term we have kicked off with themes like Cleaning week and Bird week. Decorating our room with our new crafty masterpieces. Can't wait to see what themes are to come. Feel free to give us some ideas (kids and parents) if there are any themes you'd like to  see 👀

Our OSHC program has been bursting with excitement, creativity, and joy! We have everything to keep our kids busy no matter what you are into. From messy sensory play, to outdoor sports and crafts, we hope to provide some fun for every kind of kid.

If you would like to contribute to our little their care community we are always happy to take in pre-loved items or craft supplies. If you have any books, dress-ups, toys or just about anything really we will find a way to put it to good use! Your kids old toys can live on at their school for all to enjoy.

A big hit at OSHC recently has been slime. Every parents worse nightmare is their favourite activity. We play with it here so you don't have to have it in your carpets at home.

Water colour painting has been a great group craft. We have made many big water colour murals together of what we did on the weekend, winter wonderlands or abstract squiggles.

Finger knitting is a craze amongst the girls, many are seen walking around with a ball of yarn in their hands. Oriane has been teaching anyone willing to learn how to knit with needles. It's a challenge but one of the girls have started a project to knit a scarf!

Opening hours

BSC 7am -9 am

ASC 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Just a quick reminder that the service opens at 7 am. If you arrive early, you unfortunately will not be allowed in until 7 am. Sorry for any inconvenience :)

Please note we do not collect students from Year One and above. Please remind your child/ren of after school care when you drop them off in the morning.

Foundation students do get dropped off and picked up for Term One and Two but come Term Three, a list is sent of the children attending to Mrs Damn and Mrs Peters. The children walk themselves over with educators supervising the basketball court.

STAFFING

Our staffing structure for Semester One is detailed below:

Permanent teaching staff

 Coordinator - Lily Hartley

2IC - Oriane Cleary

Oriane is our second in command at Upwey South TheirCare. She has been working with the company for a year now and studying a degree of primary and secondary education. Oriane will be working alongside Lily every day and be stepping up in the absence of Lily. Oriane plans our crafting activities and our menu. She has been gifted a nickname by the children so if you hear them talking about someone called Oreo? that's Oriane!

Rotating casual educators - Samara, Kurtis, and Fatima

Holiday program coordinators- Lily & Oriane

Staffing arrangements often change due to the needs of the service and growing numbers. There will be some new faces, but we understand consistency is important in building connections and creating a strong sense of wellbeing for our children.

Enrolment

If you have a child in Foundation or wish to start attending our fantastic program in 2025, you can register at TheirCare now. Booking is not available as of yet, but I will keep you updated. It is always best to book for OSCH as far in advance as possible, to ensure we have the proper staffing ratio needed for the safety of our service.

Feedback and suggestions

In order to run an effective and personalized program, we rely on community involvement. The easiest way for us to ensure we are catering to the needs of your children and family is through suggestions and feedback. Please don't hesitate to speak to me directly or leave a note in our feedback box with any concerns or ideas for the service.  We love hearing anything that can help us exceed.

In order to access the OSHC service, families must register prior to booking. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide details such as emergency contacts, medical requirements, dietary needs, etc.

While booking, please remember that last-minute booking can create a hard time for staffing. Please try to book 24 hours in advance, and if needed, call the service for last-minute bookings to ensure space is available.
