Communicating with the Year Two Team

When communicating with the Year Two team, please reach out via the below email addresses. Your child's class teacher is your first point of contact when requiring a discussion. You will usually see us outside the classrooms at the end of the day. This is the preferred time to catch us for a quick chat as we are focused on greeting the students before school.

Please also note that we have scheduled meetings at 3.45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What has been happening in Grade Two in Term Three?

We’ve had a wonderful start to Term Three in Grade Two! The sunshine has been a welcome change, and we’ve enjoyed lots of outdoor play with only a few wet day timetables.

In Writing, we have started to explore persuasive writing—learning how to convince others of our opinions. The students have written fantastic persuasive texts about protecting sea turtles and created amazing artworks to go alongside their writing. 

In Inquiry, our focus is digital technology. Students have had fun designing and building models of digital systems using cardboard boxes.

In Mathematics, we’ve spent the past four weeks exploring multiplication and division. Students have been learning different strategies to solve problems and apply their knowledge.

We are also getting excited for Book Week, with this year’s theme being Book an Adventure. Students are looking forward to dressing up as their favourite book characters on Wednesday 20th August.

The upcoming Book Fair starting on the 5th September  will be a wonderful opportunity to explore new books. 

It’s shaping up to be a busy and exciting term in Grade Two, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings!
