Welcome back for Term 3, I hope that everyone had a peaceful, restful break and are energised for the new term and semester. As usual the term is packed full of celebrations, challenges and great experiences for all of our students.
Thank you to our Year 8, 9, and 10 families for attending our recent Subject Selection Evenings. It was wonderful to see such strong attendance at these sessions, which highlighted the diverse range of elective subjects available in Years 9, 10, and 11.
At Trinity, the College uniform is more than just daily attire - it’s a symbol of pride, belonging, and respect. Wearing the uniform neatly and correctly reflects our shared values and sets a strong example both within the College and out in the wider community.
We kindly ask families to support this by checking that students are arriving at school dressed to best represent themselves and Trinity. This includes:
Students are encouraged to take pride in their appearance and remember that they are ambassadors of our College wherever they go. A well-presented uniform reflects our commitment to excellence, unity, and respect.
We extend our very best wishes to our Year 12 students as they begin their HSC Trial Exams next week.
This is a significant milestone in their final year of schooling, and we commend them for the dedication, resilience, and focus they have shown in the lead-up to this period. The Trial Exams are an important opportunity for students to consolidate their learning and gain valuable experience ahead of the final HSC exams.
We encourage all students to look after their wellbeing, maintain balance, and seek support if needed. You've got this, Year 12 - stay focused, stay positive, and give it your best!
We’re excited to celebrate Children’s Book Week on Friday, 22 August!
This year’s theme, "Book an Adventure!", invites students to embrace the magic of storytelling and the endless journeys found in books.
Senior School students are welcome to come dressed in theme-related costumes. All costumes must be:
Students must also bring their PDHPE uniform to change into for practical lessons.
Please note: Dressing up is optional. Students who choose not to participate are expected to attend in full school uniform as usual.
Students are expected to be on campus by 8.40am and ready for their first class by 8.45am. Punctuality is a key life skill that fosters self-discipline, reliability, and respect for others.
Being on time:
We appreciate your support in reinforcing the importance of punctuality at home.
While most were enjoying a well-earned break, our dedicated Year 12 Design & Technology students were hard at work on their major projects during the holidays! The creativity and skill on display is incredible - we can’t wait to unveil these amazing projects later in the year!
Here’s a sneak peek at what they’ve been building behind the scenes - we’re so proud of the talent, creativity and commitment our students continue to show.
Congratulations to the following students who achieved 1st in Course for their respective subjects.
These were presented at Assembly on Wednesday:
Year 7
Year 8
Year 9
Year 10
We were also proud to acknowledge Siahn O’Sullivan at this assembly, who was recently recognised in Parliament with a Community Recognition Statement for her outstanding contribution to youth engagement on the Border.
Siahn played a key role in organising two impactful, youth-focused programs — Connect and Thrive and Made for Trade — both of which provided valuable opportunities for young people to explore careers in the trades.
Congratulations, Siahn, on this well-deserved recognition!
Bonjour à tous!
The Year 9 and 10 French Elective students embarked on a cultural adventure to Melbourne for a day filled with French language and experiences.
We started bright and early, catching le train from Albury to Melbourne. Our first stop was Roule Galette, a charming French café tucked away in Flinders Lane. There, we sampled delicious crêpes and galettes - and yes, some of us were brave enough to try escargots… snails!
Next, we headed to the Alliance Française Melbourne, where we took part in a French immersion workshop in their brand-new Student Hub. We chatted about French food, practiced our language skills, and enjoyed some tasty croissants and pain au chocolat.
To finish the day, we visited the National Gallery of Victoria to see the French Impressionists Exhibition. We were amazed by masterpieces from Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, and more. The exhibition rooms were styled like 19th-century French mansions, giving us a real sense of how these artworks were originally displayed.
It was a fantastic day - full of learning, laughter, and a real taste of French culture right here in Australia.
Merci beaucoup!
At the end of last term, our Year 11 students headed off on a jam-packed, three-day Melbourne Urban Experience - a program designed to build independence, explore future pathways, and experience life in a major city.
The trip began with a visit to Melbourne University, followed by an Amazing Race around Melbourne’s key landmarks, helping students get their bearings while working together in teams. They visited a range of other universities, TAFEs and colleges based on their interests and career goals and gained confidence navigating the city using public transport. Evening activities included a variety of options such as Eureka Skydeck, Beetlejuice at the theatre, ice-skating, rock climbing, virtual reality escape rooms, and a ghost tour of the Old Melbourne Gaol.
The experience provided students with a taste of city life and helped them develop important life skills along the way. Huge thanks to our amazing teachers who made it all possible!
