As we step into Term 3, we extend a warm welcome back to all our students, staff, and families. We hope the break provided time for rest, reflection, and reconnection. A special welcome goes out to the new students and families who have joined us across the College - whether in Junior, Middle, or Senior School, we are thrilled to have you as part of our Trinity community. We look forward to a term filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences for all.
Welcoming New Faces
This term, we are delighted to welcome new students across various year levels. Starting at a new school is a significant moment, and we are committed to ensuring every student feels supported, valued, and connected. We encourage all students to reach out with kindness and help our new peers settle in with confidence. Our staff are also working closely with families to ensure a smooth transition and a strong sense of belonging from day one.
Pride in Our College – Wearing the Uniform with Respect
At Trinity, we believe that wearing our uniform is more than just a daily routine - it’s a symbol of pride, belonging, and respect. When students wear their uniform neatly and correctly, they represent the values of our College both on campus and in the wider community. We encourage all students to take pride in their appearance and remember that they are ambassadors of Trinity wherever they go. A well-presented uniform reflects our shared commitment to excellence and unity.
Life Education Van Visit – August 13 to August 22
We are excited to announce that the Life Education Van will be visiting Trinity between Wednesday 13 August and Friday 22 August. This engaging and educational experience supports students in making safe and healthy choices. The program is always a highlight for our younger students and aligns beautifully with our commitment to holistic wellbeing. We encourage families to talk with their children about what they learn during these sessions to reinforce positive messages at home.
Supporting Future Educators – CSU Placement Students
This term, we welcome two Charles Sturt University placement students, Olivia and Bronte, who will be observing Mrs Lydia Billington and Mrs Melanie Routledge in our Kindergarten classrooms. At Trinity, we take great pride in supporting the next generation of educators. Olivia and Bronte will be joining us for the next six Wednesdays, observing the teaching practices of Lydia and Melanie as they work with our youngest learners. They will return in November during Term 4 to work more closely with the same classes and teachers, further developing their teaching skills through hands-on experience and mentorship.
As I am currently lecturing Olivia and Bronte at Charles Sturt University, I’m thrilled to continue supporting their development here at Trinity, where they have the opportunity to learn from the exemplary teaching practices of Lydia and Melanie as they take the next steps in their teaching journey.
Book Week – Friday 22 August
We’re thrilled to celebrate Children’s Book Week on Friday 22 August! This year’s theme is “Book an Adventure!”, inviting students to explore the magic of storytelling and the endless journeys that books can take us on. Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite book characters and participate in a day full of literary fun and creativity. We can’t wait to see the imaginative costumes and hear about the stories that have captured our students’ hearts.
Student Progress Meetings – Monday 25 & Tuesday 26 August
Our Term 3 Student Progress Meetings will be held on Monday 25 August and Tuesday 26 August. These meetings are an important opportunity for families to connect with teachers and discuss each child’s learning journey. Students in Years 3–6 are encouraged to attend alongside their parents to share reflections, celebrate growth, and set goals for the term ahead. We believe that when students take ownership of their learning, they build confidence and motivation to succeed.
Congratulations to our students in Years 3-6 who participated in Le grand défi de Trinity Terme 2 (The Great Trinity Challenge for Term 2) on Language Nut! It was wonderful to see students across the year levels in our top 10. Our three finalists were:
