STEM report by Miss Dunstan
This semester the following classes have STEM with Miss Dunstan: Prep A, Prep B, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2C, 3A, 3B, 3C, 4A, 4C, 4E, 5B, 5D, 6A and 6C.
This semester students in Prep will be exploring their 5 senses, identify weather patterns and exploring different animal habitats.
Students in Grade 1 will be mixing and manipulating different materials as part of their chemical science discoveries.
Grade 2 students will be learning about forces through a range of push and pull experiments and observations.
Students in Grade 3 will be learning about chemical science, focusing on states of matter (solids, liquids and gases).
Grade 4 students will be looking at physical science through forces and motion. This will include magnetic and gravitational forces.
Students in Grade 5 will identify properties of materials and explore solubility through a range of experiments. They will also create their own substances to test solubility.
Grade 6 students will be exploring physical science focusing on electricity generation, electrical circuits and light energy.
