3-6 Production Costume

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’re thrilled to announce that our musical production of Beauty and the Beast Jr is just around the corner! Our students have been working hard in rehearsals, and now it’s time to bring the show to life with costumes!

What Students Need to Wear (Years 3 to 6):

We kindly ask that all students in Years 3 to 6 wear the following:

Villages:

  • Plain black t-shirt (no logos)
  • Plain black shoes (school shoes are perfect)
  • Plain black socks (no logos)
  • Village pants and skirts will be supplied by the school and sent home on Wednesday afternoon.

Funny Girls:

  • Plain black t-shirt (no logos)
  • Plain black shoes (school shoes are perfect)
  • Plain black socks (no logos)
  • Funny girl  skirts will be supplied by the school and sent home on Wednesday afternoon.

Girls are also encouraged to wear black bike shorts under their costumes.  Any boys who are required to change throughout the show are also asked to wear dark shorts under their costumes.

Below is a link to a few shops where black t-shirts can be purchased. If you require assistance please do not hesitate to reach out to the office as we have a few black t-shirt available at school from Finding Nemo.

Students are to wear their black t-shirt, black pants and black shoes to school on Wednesday 20th August for our full dress rehearsal. They will again wear these clothes to the evening performances on Wednesday and Thursday.

Hairstyles for the evening performances:

  • Villager Girls: Hair in a bun or ponytail
  • Funny Girls: Hair curled and half up/half down
  • Boys: Hair off the face

Makeup Guidelines for Performances:

To ensure students’ faces are visible under stage lighting, we ask that all students arrive at the theatre on Wednesday and Thursday evening with the following makeup already applied:

  • Light foundation
  • Light blush
  • Eyeliner
  • Lipstick (Girls: red lipstick, Boys: nude lipstick)
