Principal News

Dear Marian Catholic College Community,

This term we farewell Father Neil Hernandez, who has been College Chaplain for the last 12 months. Father Neil will be very much missed. We have greatly appreciated his support during the regular Wednesday morning services in the Chapel and during College Masses this year. We wish Father Neil all the best in his new role in Wagga. There will be a  formal farewell and thank you to Father Neil at the Parish Hall held after Sunday Mass (10.30 am) at Sacred Heart Church.

Congratulations to Yr 10 students Preston Garcia, Alex Melville, Rylan Scarfo and Jordan Von Einam for graduating from Griffith’s inaugural Youth Internship Program through the State Emergency Services on Wednesday July 2. The students have learned a variety of highly valuable skills in this course, including rescue, first aid, abseiling, responding to emergencies, teamwork, leadership and communications. To all students and staff at the College, thank you and well done for a huge effort this very wintry and busy term 2. To our Year 12 students entering that final countdown, remember consistency of study and application and self-care are key to your success-to your wellbeing, your learning and to positive outcomes at this important stage in your schooling. To all members of our community, have a safe, happy and healthy holiday break. We look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday 22 July, Week 1, Term 3.

During this time of rest and restoration, may the Lord bless you and keep you in his care,
