YEAR 10

WEEK 4: KEY INFORMATION

LAST WEEK

Last week, our Year 10 students explored the importance of goal setting during our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lesson. Setting clear objectives empowers students to take responsibility for their academic and personal growth. As parents/guardians, you can continue this conversation at home by asking your child about their recent goals and how they plan to achieve them. Your support is invaluable in nurturing their development. Thank you for your partnership.

Our Year 10 Health and Physical Education (HPE) students completed their orienteering and teamwork unit with a challenging 5k course at Centenary Lakes. This hands-on experience allowed students to apply their navigation skills in a real-world setting while fostering collaboration and teamwork.

THIS WEEK

During Pastoral Group this week, the Year 10 students will take part in a teamwork challenge where they can earn valuable house points! It's a fantastic opportunity for them to work together with their peers, showcase their collaborative skills, and contribute to their house's success. In addition to the main challenge, bonus points will be awarded to houses that demonstrate adherence to the school’s expectations regarding uniforms.

As mid-term approaches and assessments begins, your support as parents/carers is appreciated. You can help by creating a conducive study environment and assisting with time management. Staying informed about upcoming assessments and maintaining open communication with teachers can also be helpful.
