Assistant Principal's

Report

Mr Lockhart

Welcome back to everyone. I hope your holidays were restful and you enjoyed the fantastic Easter weather.

SWPBS GOLD

A huge congratulations to our school for achieving our SWPBS Gold Award.  We first started the journey back in 2018 and slowly worked our way from Blue right up to Gold.  We are the only P -12 College in the state that has achieved their Gold Award. A huge congratulations to our school.

CROSS COUNTRY

Our Cross Country Carnival will take place this coming Tuesday – April 30th.  A reminder to students to dress up in their house colours and come along to enjoy this whole school event. SWPBS Expected Behaviours for this day will have particular focus on ‘I will participate’ and ‘I will keep trying’. BBQ lunch will be supplied on the day.

UNIFORM

It's always good to see our students wear their uniform with pride.  Just a few little issues I would like to address.

  1. Socks must be dark and not white
  2. Black is not Navy Blue

I do acknowledge that there are times when things have gone wrong and you can’t get your child in school uniform.  If this is the case please write your child a note.

BUILDING WORKS

Over the next 18 months our school will be a building site which will provide many challengers for our staff and students.  Our current challenge is entry into the school from Hospital Street.  Students are to go around the cubby house and past the BER, not through the front office.

SCHOOL ARRIVAL – Not before 8.30am

It’s great to see students being punctual and arriving at school well before the first bell.  Please remember that no student should be onsite before 8.30am. If students attend prior to this time they need to register for the Out of School Hours Care – OHSC. Registration forms are available from the Front Office for parents/guardians to complete.
