Pentecost Sunday - 19th May

Pentecost is the day the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples.

Pentecost occurs 50 days after Easter. It is the very last day of the Easter season!

The Liturgical colour of Pentecost is Red.

The Holy Spirit came like the wind and descended on the apostles gathered in the Upper Room. They were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, they understood everything, and they immediately went out into the streets to tell people the Good News of Jesus Christ!

God our Father,

Bless our school of St John’s, So that we may love you more.

Watch over and protect us, our families, our friends and our sacred earth.

Lord, guide us on our journey as we try to be the best we can be.

Keep us safe from harm, healthy in life and loving to all those we meet each day.

We make our prayer through Christ Our Lord
