Principal Update

Thursday 9 May

Thank you – working bee

We just wanted to acknowledge the efforts of those staff and families, including grandparents and students in our school community who stayed behind last Friday for our first working bee of the year which was concluded with a BBQ.

The grounds are generally well maintained by Gordon and the crew from Green Arrow Gardening Services but it is awesome to see the schoolyard blitz in action.  We spread crushed rock under the new shade sails, weeded, pruned, trimmed, did some leaf blowing and some gutter/drain cleaning.

Education Week open times to see the school in action

This year we are welcoming all our families to come along to see our classes in action at the following times.   It will also be a chance for any new families wanting to come for a school tour as well.

  • Tuesday 14 May 9am – 11:30am
  • Wednesday 15 May 9am – 11:30am
  • Thursday 16 May 2:40pm – 3:30pm

Prep 2025 Enrolment and Term 2 School Tours

This term schools across the state begin the enrolment process for Foundation in 2025. New and existing families are invited to tour the school by making an appointment.

Mother’s Day stall

Tomorrow we are having our Mother’s Day stall.  Gifts will be priced from $3-$10 and will be available for purchase between 12pm-2.00pm.

I hope our students make Sunday a very special one and show their appreciation and gratitude.

TheirCare reminder

We are fortunate to have TheirCare as our OSHC provider and it is great seeing the interactions with Jade and the students before and after school.  This is a reminder that bookings are essential as staff/student ratios must be maintained as we are receiving notice that some families are forgetting to make a booking but still expecting their child/ren to attend.

Year 6- Year 7 for 2025

Thanks to the families of Year 6 students who have returned their application forms for Year 7 placement for 2025.  These are due tomorrow.  Please contact Daniel, Sonya or Kate in the office if you have any queries.

Assembly

We do have Assembly tomorrow at 2:45pm.

We have plenty of activities to look forward to in the next couple of weeks so I encourage everyone to check compass and calendars for upcoming dates.

Regards,

Dale McInerney
