Congratulations Swimmers

Congratulations to our State Swimmers!

On Friday the 19 April, FPS had two teams compete in the state swimming championships at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC). The teams competing were the under-13 medley relay that came fifth, and the under-13 freestyle relay that came fourth. 

• Medley relay (4x50m ) team: Freestyle - Asha K, Backstroke - Audrey M, Breaststroke - Selby R, Butterfly - Lexi W
• Freestyle relay (4x50m) team: Asha K, Lila R, Selby R, Lexi W.

As the races were live streamed, the Year 6 cohort gathered and cheered on their classmates.

Getting to states was a huge achievement, and we were all sad to realise it was our last races together as an FPS team. We have been competing together since Year 4, but never got into states until now.  We are super lucky to be some of the few people to make it to the state finals, and it was an incredible experience that we are all extremely grateful for. 

 

It’s a memory we will never forget and a great way to end Primary School.
