On behalf of the Staff of St Fidelis, I wish all the Mothers, Grandmothers and special ladies in our Community, a wonderful and joyous day with their families this Sunday. God Bless you all!!
The much-loved annual Mother’s Day stall will be returning for 2024. On Wednesday 8th May, all children will be invited to the stall to purchase gifts for the special women in their life. At the stall, a range of items, ranging in affordable prices, beginning from $1, will be available for the children to purchase. Children are advised to bring a bag to take their gifts home in. Thank you.
To celebrate the wonderful Mothers and Special Women of our St. Fidelis' Community, the P&F Committee along with THE VILLAGE BAKERY are hosting our annual Mother’s Day Event. Breakfast will commence at 8:00am. Please see the Parents and Friends' page in the newsletter for breakfast order form. Orders close today at 5pm.
After breakfast, Year 5/6OS will lead the community in a special Mother's Day prayer and assembly followed by activities in your child's learning space.
Due to unforeseen changes in circumstances, our Inquiry consultant is not available to facilitate our Professional Learning Day on Friday June 28th. Therefore, we will conclude the term on Friday June 28th at 1:00pm NOT Thursday 27th June. The Professional Learning Day is now rescheduled for Tuesday August 27th in Term Three. This will be a School Closure Day.
School fees accounts will be distributed this week. It would be most appreciated if you can settle your second installment by the due date Friday June 21st. Thank you.
As mentioned two weeks ago, we are currently updating some of the new policies that have been distributed to schools over the past couple of years by MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools).
The Parent/Guardian/Carer Code of Conduct provides clear guidelines to all parents and visitors, regarding the conduct expected of them while in a school environment, engaging in school related activities or representing the school.
Some families will receive a Parent Code of Conduct policy which I require you to read and sign and return to school as soon as possible. If you don't receive a form this means we have your updated form in our files.
These forms have now been distributed to the families that require them to be signed and returned by the end of the week.
Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to update policies from MACS to all Catholic Schools.
On Friday 17th May, St Fidelis' School will be participating in the 24th Anniversary of Walk Safely to School Day.
Breakfast will be provided to all St Fidelis' School Students however, we ask all students to bring their own bowl and spoon in keeping with sustainability and looking after our environment.
If you are interested in your family participating in this event, we kindly ask that parents and children meet the St Fidelis' teachers at Shore Reserve (Corner of Melville Road and Reynard Street, Pascoe Vale South) at 8:15am. We ask that bikes/scooters are not used for this event. If it is raining, please wear a raincoat or bring an umbrella.
We will all walk together from Shore Reserve to school taking the following route.
Parents/Carers and children are invited to join us along this route:
