2024 Education Week

Celebrate Education Week in 2024.

Education Week is an annual celebration of education in Victoria.

In 2024, Victoria celebrated Education Week from Monday 13 May to Friday 17 May.

This year’s theme, Spotlight on STEAM, highlights the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) in our everyday lives, in the classroom and beyond.

What we have been doing in STEAM

Prep

A continued focus on teamwork, our school values, and the Learner Assets; in particular the micro-skills that contribute to becoming a Collaborator have been evident during STEAM. Through a series of highly engaging activities, the students have been growing in their ability to assist others to solve a problem.

Year 1/2

The Animated Wonders program continues to go from strength to strength. The showcase at the end of this term will be outstanding!

Year 3/4

Students have now entered Season 2 of the MineCraft EDU Cyber Castle Challenge. It has been incredibly rewarding watching the level of engagement and listening to students fluently talking about the Cyber Security Lifecycle.
