Year 3/4 Sport

Rosalie Welton  - Year 4 Classroom Teacher

Congratulations to our new 3/4 sports monitors: Aston, Frankie, Matilda, Maddie, Isla, Lachie, Summer, Riley, Franki and Ben! The term 1 monitors have handed over the responsibility to our new representatives, who started the term off handling their new job with enthusiasm. Each week, they demonstrate the learner asset skill of being Self-Managers by attending planning meetings, dedicating some of their lunchtime to setting up the sports for their peers and then packing up at the end of the session. Mr De Nardis reports that they are also displaying the EPS school value of Respect by ensuring that the sports equipment is returned safely to the correct storage areas in the gym each week.

Our monitors are continually consulting with their classmates to decide which sports and activities we will be playing next; at the moment AFL is popular, and soccer is always popular - but what about hockey, netball, rounders, tennis..? Congratulations to Montrose, who were the Term 1 3/4 Sport Champions. Stay tuned for who our Term 2 Winners will be!
