Year 9 ‘Romeo and Juliet’ performance

“A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life”. That there is the sixth line of the prologue in the play “Romeo and Juliet” and it perfectly sums up the masterpiece that William Shakespeare’s quill birthed. The play has gone down in history as the pinnacle of romance and rude humour, being displayed in many theatres across our planet throughout the centuries of its existence. However, lucky for us, the famous play landed on the front doorstep of our very own Uni High just a couple of weeks ago (I forget the exact dates). Presented by an exceptionally good cast of three the play was to commence in our performance centre. The play rather being two hours as the original was would be cut to only a one hour show. This show luckily had cut the majority of the lewdness (or sadly if you’re a fan of that) that the original was so full of. The performers acted superbly and covered all the necessary parts of the original rendition. At the end of the day this event absolutely worth watching!
