God our Father,
Bless our school of St John’s, So that we may love you more.
Watch over and protect us, our families, our friends and our sacred earth.
Lord, guide us on our journey as we try to be the best we can be.
Keep us safe from harm, healthy in life and loving to all those we meet each day.
We make our prayer through Christ Our Lord
Amen
We will celebrate our Opening Year Mass on Thursday the 1st of February at 12.30pm in St John's Church. Everyone is very welcome to join us. We will present our new student leaders for 2024.
Each year we set up a casserole bank to help out families within our school and wider community when needed. If you are happy to be part of this, we send home aluminium containers and we ask that you fill them with a dish. This can be anything that is able to be frozen. In the past, we have had lasagne, fried rice, bolognaise, zucchini slice and casseroles as an example.
If you are able to join in this project, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. You will only be required to contribute a couple of times per year. Please email me to put your name down on our list lfrewen@sjeuroa.catholic.edu.au. We thank those already on our list and ask that you send a quick response to say you are happy to remain on.
We thank you for your assistance in this area, as we are already supporting families in need within our community.
On Tuesday the 13th of February, Year 6 will be holding a pancake stall as part of our Shrove Tuesday celebrations. Year 6 will be selling pancakes for $1.00 each with a variety of toppings. A zooper doper can also be purchased for $1.
On this day students also can participate in a casual clothes day with a gold coin donation. The proceeds of our Pancake, zooper doper sales and gold coin donation will go towards our Caritas fundraising efforts for 2023.
An order form will be sent home in the next few days.
