Principal's Welcome

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the Rochester Secondary College community, I extend a very warm welcome to our commencing Year 7 students, our new enrolments and their families. I also welcome back current students and their families.

I am incredibly honoured to be named Principal of Rochester Secondary College and excited about the opportunities going forward as we move into this next chapter as a school community together. I would like to thank the staff and students for making me feel so welcome and look forward to meeting parents and members of the Rochester community throughout the term. 

Having grown up in Melbourne, I have spent my entire career working in public education in regional Victoria. Prior to coming to Rochester, I have spent the last four years at Euroa Secondary College where I have been Assistant Principal and had two stints as Acting Principal. 

It has been a pleasure to visit classes and observe students settled and engaged with their learning. I have also enjoyed walking around the grounds during recess and lunch, meeting and talking to students about their break and asking what they love about our school and what they would like to see improve going forward.  I am looking forward to working with our 2024 School Captains Jude Ryan, Tara Atley, Brodie Humbert,  and Maddy Pearse who will be running our first whole school assembly on Monday morning.
