Captains Corner

Term One 2024

Vivaan - Hello everyone, my name is Vivaan and I am in 6J. I have been your school captain for 3 weeks now, and I take the utmost pleasure in being your school captain. Earlier this week, you might have seen me on the assembly, and I had enjoyed every bit of it. I did have a couple of nerves in the air, but the moment I got on the camera, I was not scared at all.  The recognition that I have received for being school captain is extraordinary. Wherever I walked, a child would come up to me and say, hey, you are a school captain. I hope that I can make this year a fantastic year for all of you and leave my mark at this school. I have been in Grade 6 for 3 weeks and so far, it has been fantastic. I am really excited for more to come, but I am most excited about Canberra Camp. I really would like to visit the Parliament House and the Institute of Sport to play cricket and see cricket players in action. I hope you enjoy your week and hope that I can be a successful School Captain for you!

Hayley - School has been one of the best things that have happened to me. Even though there has been many ups and downs it is still has been a fun place. But for this year I am certain that it will be the best year of my life. My name is Hayley and I am one of your School Captains for 2024. These past 3 weeks has definitely been full of enjoyment, nerves and excitement. I have enjoyed every bit of Grade 6 and I am looking forward to more. Especially Canberra Camp. Like most people I am excited for it because I get to hang out with my friends and go to see a lot of new attractions. Plus it’s like a sleepover with my friends for 4 nights and we get a bonus look around Canberra – somewhere I've never been before but have been dying to go. Last but not least buddies. My buddy is Audrey in Prep M, she is so cute and adorable! She loves collecting rocks and is the cutest thing ever! She was very nervous and didn’t speak a word to me at first now she’s waving at me, talking to me and even hugging me when I ask her to! I hope you enjoy your week and that we can be your best school captains.

Elijah - Hello my name is Elijah in 6C, I’ve been School Captain for three weeks now. About one week ago I was on Assembly. At first, I felt a bit nervous but as I said more the nerves flew away. I am excited to present again next week. Ever since I was on assembly everything felt a bit different, it’s not every day that children always say hi to you. I think this year will be a different but fun ride, now that I’m School Captain. I’m so happy to help represent the school I’ve been in for 7 years now. A special mention to all my teachers without them I wouldn’t be the boy I am now.  As I mentioned on Assembly, I am excited to go to Canberra Camp. I am most excited to got to Questacon. I am also excited to go to the Leadership Conference this Friday. I hope you have a good week.

Chloe - Hello everyone! My name is Chloe and I'm in 6M, and as you might know, I am one of your School Captains for 2024. My first three weeks have been full of excitement, energy and nerves as I have got to speak in front of the entire school during assembly. I enjoyed getting back with my friends and cooperating with my fellow School Captains. I am really looking forward to going on the Year 6 Canberra Camp and attending the Leadership Conference on National Young Leaders Day.  I hope all of you are having a great time during your first few weeks at school and have a great rest of the year!
