Edward (Flinders House captain)
My name is Edward and I am from 6S. I wanted to be a House captain because I want to be a role model for the younger kids and to show them the right thing to do. I am a kind, caring and helpful person and I am very responsible for my actions and I am very organised. My goals as House captain is to encourage the students of DPS to give a sport or an activity a try and to do their best. I also want to make my peers and friends feel like they belong to the school and not be left out.

Hi, my name is Shekhar and I am the Monash House captain for 2024. I applied for the role because I am a very responsible person and being a House captain offers me many opportunities to practise my leadership skills. I look forward to helping at sports days and reading with the Preps. I will encourage everyone to do their best and never give up.

Hi! My name is Valencia. I am a Lawson House captain for 2024. I am currently in the wonderful 6M. I went for this role because I love helping out and playing with the younger children! I am supportive, caring and altruistic. I am looking forward to helping out in sports and reading with the Preps! I promise you all I will make Lawson a great house!

Hi my name is David and I’m from 6C. I applied for Phillip house captain because I know I am suitable for this role because I am a good role model and I have experience in leadership. I love P.E. and Maths, which are my favourite subjects. I also love basketball and soccer but my favourite thing is to learn!! My goals as a House captain is to be a great role model to younger children and to make/help the school become a better place, whether it’s through making the school look better or to make students behave better.

Hi, my name is Vritti and I am super excited to be House captain for Flinders. I applied for the House captain role because I am very responsible and organised. I am looking forward to reading with the Preps and helping out around the school. I am going to make sure the students in Flinders always try their best and follow the school values of Determination, Pride and Success.

I am a confident yet kind person and I always look for opportunities to show my leadership skills. I am looking forward to reading with the Preps and helping the teachers when they have special events. I will encourage the students in Monash House to be the best they can be and make Monash even better.

Hi, my name is Benita and I am from 6C. I applied for House captain because it has always been one of my dreams since I started at Doncaster Primary School in Grade 3. I love helping with extra tasks and make sure that it is done to a high standard. As a House captain, I will encourage everyone to participate in different activities in which they try their best and have fun. If you see me around the school, I would love for you come and say “Hi” and tell me how I can make this school a better place for everyone.

Jeremy (chicken monitor) Hi, my name is Jeremy from 6S. I applied for the chicken monitor role because I am a responsible person and never complain about getting my hands dirty. I will never miss an opportunity to make the younger kids feel happy and enjoy being around the chickens. As a chicken monitor, I will make visiting the chickens a fun and memorable experience for all the students.
| Yuk (chicken monitor) Hi, my name is Yuk and I am from 6S. I wanted the role of chicken monitor because I like chickens and I would like to help the students when they visit the chickens. I look forward to feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs. I will hold the chickens gently so they don’t get hurt and will also teach the younger students to do the same.
| Athena (chicken monitor) My name is Athena and I am one of the chicken monitors for 2024. Have you ever wondered how it feels to hold a chicken? Well, if come to the chicken coop when I am there, I will make sure that you learn how to hold one and I promise you, you will fall in love with chickens, just like I have. Besides chickens, I also love gymnastics and drawing. I am looking forward to having a wonderful time meeting you at the chicken coop.

Jason (chicken monitor) Hi, my name is Jason and I am in 6J. Since I was 5 years old, I have always loved chickens. I feel very excited and joyful to be a chicken monitor and I look forward to helping students learn to take care of chickens.
| Ruben (chicken monitor) My name is Ruben and I arrived in Australia last year from South Africa. I applied for the chicken monitor role because I love animals and I want to work with them and take care of them. I will organise the students when they visit the chickens during play time and show them how to handle them gently. I am responsible and trustworthy.
| Logan (chicken monitor) I wanted to be a chicken monitor because I have a lot of pets and I want to be with chickens because they are very calming. I am very responsible and gentle and I like being around animals. I like working in teams with my other friends and I want to be a good role model to the younger students that visit the chickens.

Ayan (chicken monitor) Hi, my name is Ayan and I am in 6J. I want to thank the Grade 6 teachers for choosing me to be a chicken monitor. I will feed the chickens, give them water and look after them. I will organise the younger students so that there are not too many in the coop at the same time. I want everyone to have a turn at holding the chickens.
