Our VET students in 2024 in Years 11 and 12 have increased to 110 students from 80 students in 2023.
Our VET students attend VET programs either on a Wednesday, Thursday or Fridays in Hallam Senior College, Box hill TAFE, Chisholm – Dandenong and Berwick, Holmesglen – Chadstone and Moorabbin, Kangan – Docklands, Skill invest, Foundation Learning Centres, Tristar Aviation, Nazareth College to name a few.
Their VET programs include Acting – Stage and Screen, Automotive – Mechanical, Paint and Panel, Business, Community Services, Early Education and Care, Electro-technology, Hair and Beauty, Salon Management, Health Services Assistance, Information Technology – Games Creation, Music – Performance, Plumbing, Screen and Media.
We have introduced Building and Construction - Carpentry in-house at Westall Secondary College with trainer Anthony. Our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is Skillinvest. Anthony runs this class every Friday from 9 to 3:15 pm. So exciting to have a new VET at Westall to support a skill shortage area and utilise our excellent Woodwork Space in C Block.
We thank Mrs Read for heading up VET Cookery with 18 students, with our Registered Training Organisation being IVET. Last week it was delicious Pub style Chicken Parmigiana and this week it is Fish and Chips as shown in this picture with Jacob who is proud of his culinary skills.

Our thanks to Mr. Travis McIntosh for supporting our VET Sport and Recreation students who are doing Units 3 and 4 with Savile, our new RTO.
We thank and congratulate our SBAT students in Years 10, 11 and 12 and parents for all their support.
Our students Ryan Li and Mitch Fielden are continuing their Cert III in Supply Chain Operations with their Employer – GRE8 in Dandenong South and their Registered Training Organisation is National Food Industries. These students have maintained excellent attendance every Wednesday and Friday even during school holidays.
Our SBAT student with Employer REECE, whose RTO is MURRAY MALLEE TRAINING CO. LTD is Elaiza PALALAGI-SUNDAR who is doing her Certificate II in Retail and Warehousing Operations.
We take this opportunity to thank our valued Registered Training Organisations mentioned above and Employers.
15th February was the afternoon we hosted our “Return of our 2023 Graduates” and many of our students came in to have a chat, meet their classmates and teachers and enjoy pizza and soft drinks. Our 67 VCE Graduates have enrolled in University – Swinburne, Australian Catholic University, Victoria University, Monash University, RMIT, Deakin and University of Melbourne and/or TAFEs called Holmesglen or Chisholm. Many are fully employed. Our 25 VCAL Graduates have found full time work, are attending TAFE or have started apprenticeships.
Congratulations to all of them and their parents and care givers.
