Year 9 Update

Connecting and Thriving

As we embrace 2024, we embark on a journey of connection and memory-making here at Shelford. Year 9 has wasted no time hitting the ground running!

Over the past few weeks, our students have delved into the heart of community, rediscovering its significance at various levels. Through meaningful discussions, they've reconnected with peers and are forming new friendships, reinforcing the idea that community fosters belonging, enabling them to flourish.

In our recent Wellbeing session, we were fortunate to host Lauren from PPEP Talk, enriching our understanding of personal health and wellbeing.

Timetables are set, and elective subjects are underway, with students eagerly immersing themselves in diverse learning experiences. Additionally, our girls have eagerly signed up for the upcoming GSV sports events, including tennis, softball, swimming, and diving. House meetings buzzed with excitement as students signed up for events and practised their chants for the House Swimming Carnival on 29 Febr.

As we stride forward into the rest of the year, let's continue nurturing these connections, cherishing every moment, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Together, we thrive as a community, supporting each other in our journey of growth and discovery.
