Year 7 Update

Embrace New Beginnings

Last Monday marked the beginning of an adventure for our Year 7 cohort as they stepped into secondary schooling with eagerness and anticipation. Orientation day set the tone for a year filled with growth and camaraderie as students had the opportunity to meet with their peer support leaders to discuss organisation and managing the workload.

The excitement continued on Tuesday as our Year 7s participated in the whole school colour run. It was wonderful to witness their energy as they embraced their first whole-school event, symbolising their integration into our larger senior school family.

Since then, our Year 7s have been familiarising themselves with the rhythm of secondary schooling, focusing on their transition with determination and resilience. With the upcoming House Swimming event on the horizon, excitement mounts as our students eagerly anticipate the opportunity to showcase their talents and foster a sense of House spirit.

Furthermore, we are beginning to prepare our Year 7s for their upcoming camp from 6 - 8 March. This experience gives students further opportunity to create lasting friendships, nurture resilience, and instil a sense of responsibility, all while enjoying adventure activities and challenges.

Our Year 7s have already begun embracing the challenges and opportunities Year 7 has presented with enthusiasm, fostering strong bonds amongst themselves, and cultivating respectful relationships with their teachers.

As we journey through the term, and the year ahead, we look forward to witnessing the continued growth, achievements, and memorable moments with our Year 7 students.
