Sport and PE at SJV

District Cross Country

Last week we had 40 students represent SJV at the at Mordialloc District Cross Country Carnival. Everyone raced with spirit and determination. Three of our students finished in the top 10 in their race, qualifying them for the Kingston Division Cross Country later in the month. 

Congratulations to:

Joaquin - 1st in the 9-13 multiclass 2km

Xavier S - 3rd in the 9/10 boys 2km

Jacob - 7th in the  9/10 boys 2km

We are incredibly proud of all the students' effort, perseverence and team spirit. All the hard work and training leading up to the day certainly showed. We wish Joaquin, Xavier and Jacob all the best for their upcoming races. 

Run Club

Run Club will be continuing in Term 2. All grade 3-6 students are invited to join the Run Club on Friday mornings. We meet at Walter Galt Reserve 8:15 AM, and students will be escorted to school once finished. 

SJV House Athletics

We're gearing up for our annual House Athletics Day on Friday, June 20, and we need your support to make it a memorable event for our students. If you have any expertise with particular events, can weild a rake, stop watch or measuring tape, or are able to lend a hand with set up and/or pack up, please contact Dominique Monotti on dominique.monotti@sjvparkdale.catholic.edu.au .
