May Market At SJV
Last Thursday was Market Day at SJV. Students harvested herbs and lemons during lunch and recess times which were bundled up for sale. There was lots of rosemary and parsley and an abundance of lettuce, not to mention the new season of lemons. Students made their own signs and handled all the money transactions…they did an amazing job. Our garden has been planted out with the Winter crops, silverbeet and broccoli, onions and leeks. If you have any time to visit the SJV Community Garden please pop over and have a look, there is still plenty of lettuce left to take, we will be pulling it out over the next few days in readiness to plant another crop. Thank you to those parents who stopped by for a chat and who purchased and picked their own lettuce, we hope you enjoyed visiting the garden. We will notify you again by SMS when our next Market Day will be…but it will be in the not too distant future.
