Principals Message

Dear parents and carers,
The graphic below displays some of the elements required for an effective school.
Today I would like to focus on HIGH EXPECTATIONS and HOME-SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS. It is made very clear to the staff that we have a professional level of care and conduct for every student, each other and our families. There is also a parent code of conduct as well. In order to enjoy positive partnerships we must ensure communication it is respectful of the dignity of others, that it strengthens professional boundaries rather than weakens them and that it remains open and responsive to the ideas, opinions and concerns of others.
We expect that parents want the best for their children and we believe reading practice is one of the best gifts a parent can give. It is very obvious to us in our classrooms as to which children read at home and those that do not.
Last week we ran two sessions on how to best help your child read at home. Eleven families attended and their feedback was positive. Many of our parents read with their children and we appreciate it so much. It makes SUCH A DIFFERENCE! Please do some reading with your children every day, it’s actually a gift you are are giving them.
If you need any help please let us know.
Kind regards,
Jen
