Qualification:     Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher)

Workplace:        Your Everyday Gourmet / Appin Street Butchery

Yarran’s casual job at Your Everyday Gourmet converted into a SBAT during Term 1 when his strong work ethic was recognised as a trait Melissa and the team wanted to retain.

Melissa was most impressed with the Head Start SBAT model saying “Yarran gets to stay at school whilst starting his Apprenticeship Part-time, it’s a great initiative”. 

Yarran will commence the Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) with South West TAFE this term from the newly acquired Appin Street Butchery.

SBAT Name:       Skye MacDonald-Jones

Year level:            10

Qualification:     Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Workplace:        G8 Education - Nurture One

Skye’s passion for early years education has come to fruition with her securing a SBAT at Nurture One. 

She completed Work Experience in 2024 and will now study the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with Australian Early Childhood College. 

Skye is another great example of a student getting a Head Start on her career, whilst still studying.
