Student Academic reports 2025

From Term 2 2025 we are introducing updated school reports.

  • A new format has been developed by the NSW Department of Education in response to feedback from parents and educators to make reports easier to read and understand.
  • Your child’s report will still show their progress across all subject areas.
  • Teacher comments will appear in English, Mathematics and the general comment section, in line with department policy.
  • The general comment for Kindergarten also covers all other key learning areas including, Creative Arts, HSIE, PDHPE, and Science and Technology.
  • A new achievement scale and descriptions are included to provide a clearer picture of your child’s progress.
  • Parent–teacher interviews remain an important way to discuss your child’s progress and achievement in more detail.

We welcome your feedback or questions about the new report format.

Student Behaviour- In Term 1 and over the past couple of weeks we have had an increase in students who are not being respectful to all adults in our school. We are seeing in class task refusal, leaving the classroom without permission, back chat, refusing to be in the right place at the right time. We would appreciate your support by you speaking to your child/children about respectful behaviour at school.

P&C AGM and General Meeting - On Tuesday evening we have our P&C AGM. All positions will be declared open. I am looking forward to seeing members new and old. The P&C is a great way to hear about all things Eglinton. We appreciate all the support our families give to our school on a regular basis.

Congratulation to Millie George who has been selected to represent Western at the 2025 NSWPSSA Basketball Girls Championship. Millie will travel Sutherland on Tuesday 17 June to  Thursday 19 June.

Congratulations to Jack Williams who has advanced to the final selection trials for the Western Rugby Union Team. Jack will attend the trials on Monday 12 May in Mudgee.
